The sound of silence for #Wikileaks #DayWithoutTwitter for freedom of the press |#PressFreedom #freeassange. In this way I ended yesterday my Twitter session. All this hashtags and others for suporting Wikileaks are those days in Internet.

The dream of freedom through the network represented by Wikileaks goes beyond what our imagination can encompass. While Julian Assange is arrested in London on social networking sites people are using the silence to cry out against the system that seeks to censor the truth. However, coercion by the powers that enhances and expands the echo of the injustices that society observes stunned.

The world is crumbling before our eyes but we are fighting every day. Today we are informed. The information is indeed power, but now the power is ours. Citizens become activists. Freedom is the cornerstone of our system of coexistence and we, the people, are the owners and for this reason we must defend it. We should uphold our values and allow any power underestimate.

I show my support to Julian Assange because I want back the dream of freedom .I've recovered the post published in August in connection with Wikileaks.

Champagne day for the freedom

Seldom can celebrate small victories for freedom of expression. Today is one of those champagne day that, if it would be versioned soundtrack by Van Morrison, and, of course, would be Days Like This. I want to reflect on the news I read on the net on Wikileaks.

Despite criticism of its lack of transparency, the website, founded by Australian journalist, Julian Assange, highlights, with documented evidence uncomfortable for certain government information. ¿A quién beneficia Wikileaks?

No podré entender jamás porque el Ecofin se reúne con carácter extraordinario, premeditación y alevosía para resolver lo obvio. ¿Era necesario aumentar el clima de inestabilidad?. Nadie, a estas alturas, cuestiona que Irlanda se encuentra en la cuerda floja pero, incluso, el premio Nobel de Economía, Paul Krugman, no ha podido decirlo más claro en su artículo de El País al referirse a la crisis con un titular tan elocuente como, tristemente, cierto "Comerse a los irlandeses".

Sin embargo, la agenda-setting pudo más en una tarde de domingo con comicios catalanes que nos hizo sufrir con el coqueteo de la ultraderecha xenófoba salpicada del tsunami Wikileaks. La avalancha informativa se ha convertido en una inmensa bola de nieve que, al parecer, arrasará todo lo que se cruce en su camino. La sobredosis de datos en una misma entrega provoca un dispersión porque no es fácil asimilar el alcance y evaluar la importancia de cada documento en su justa medida y con elementos que permitan efectuar un análisis de la ingente cantidad de datos que ha llegado, de repente, a nuestras manos.

La primera reflexión tras ojear la información es preguntarme porque el 'garganta profunda' que ha decidido filtrar los documentos secretos ha elegido este momento de la historia en el que el sistema financiero mundial aparenta un derrumbe que ahoga a la clase trabajadora de todo mundo y la obliga a pagar los platos rotos de un sistema financiero corrupto. ¿Se trata de hundir al Gobierno made in Usa? ¿a Obama?.

En cualquier caso, en nombre de la libertad de expresión y de la transparencia informativa la prensa no ha tardado en publicar a los cuatro vientos el que será el mayor escándalo de principios del siglo XXI. Y, ¿ahora qué?. Muchos podremos confirmar con datos aquello que durante años hemos sospechado pero que no podíamos demostrar. ¿Quién va a obtener beneficios de este alboroto global? El tiempo lo dirá mientras leeremos con avidez los papeles que un día fueron vetados y herméticos.
